Start by pressing the bags flat, they may be wrinkly when you take theme out of the plastic bag. A cold iron on a cutting board works well, or anything to help flatten them. Look to see which side the bottom fold is on, it should face the side of the bag that has the seam down the middle. This way you have a nice smooth side to print your pictures.
Open Microsoft Word. Change the size of the paper to 5 ¼ x 10 ¾, set all margins to .50.
Measure the bag from the upper flap crease to the top of the bag, it should measure about 7 ½ inches.
Start with a regular piece of printer paper, draw the bag measurements onto the paper and cut to the size of your bag. Measure in ½ inch from the sides, and 1 inch from the bottom flap crease and 1 ½ inches from the top of the bag. You should end up with a bag size of about 4 1/8 x 5 inches. This box is your target area for your graphics. Practice printing on paper, until you have everything lined up, you may need to use painters tape to hold flab securely, then print the bag.
